Comenius University Bratislava helps shape the future of nuclear energy
The action plan was prepared in close cooperation with state authorities and specialised institutions active across the nuclear sector, ranging from the operation and decommissioning of nuclear facilities to nuclear regulation, applied technical research, energy companies and universities.
CU REMAINS IN THE TOP 300 UNIVERSITIES IN EUROPE
Comenius University Bratislava has maintained its position among the 300 best universities in Europe. Published today, the QS World University Rankings: Europe 2026 place CU 293rd overall, first in Slovakia, and 19th in Eastern Europe.
Comenius University Bratislava to coordinate the Slovak ELIXIR Node
The European research infrastructure ELIXIR supports the management, sharing and effective use of data in the biological and biomedical sciences. A national ELIXIR node has been established in Slovakia, coordinated by CU through the CU Science Park, in cooperation with Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice.
Professor Juraj Payer elected President of the Slovak Medical Association for the 2026–2029 term
The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of Comenius University Bratislava will assume the post on 1 January 2026.
