Applying for temporary residency

Staying in Slovakia : Temporary Residency for the purpose of Study 

Concerning the documents that you will need :

✔ Valid passport

 

✔ Original or certified copy of School acceptance or attendance for studies.  

It will be in Slovak : Potvrdenie o štúdium. It must be signed by the Dean of the Faculty.

About the confirmation of your studies, the Faculty should be able to give you the necessary document.

✔ Extract from the criminal record from the country of which the applicant is a national, and from countries in which the applicant has resided for more than 90 days during six consecutive months in the last three years. It does not apply if it was an EU country.

 

✔ Filled in Application Form 

 

✔ Important : 

• airline tickets and boarding passes,
• train, bus, or other transportation tickets (including tickets for travel to and from airports abroad if you traveled to Slovakia by air via another country),
• confirmation of your first accommodation in the Slovak Republic (e.g., confirmation from the accommodation provider, accommodation contract, hotel reservation),
• other documents proving the date and time of arrival (e.g., payment confirmations, e-mail or SMS transport confirmations).

 

✔ To be Paid at the Foreign Police : Administrative fee for issuing the residence document and its delivery within the Slovak Republic: 10 EUR (within 30 days) or 39 EUR (within 2 working days). I recommend paying the express delivery.
