The largest grant in the history of the Faculty of Arts of CU will support research into loneliness and social isolation
The Department of Psychology of the Faculty of Arts decided to study this issue in a project named DISCONNECT. Their findings could contribute to the understanding of the phenomenon of loneliness and identify complex strategies of dealing with this alarming situation.
Young pharmacists honour actress Emília Vášáryová
The Slovak Association of Pharmacy Students is launching an award named the Voice of Young Pharmacists. The first recipient of the award is Professor Emília Vášaryová. The award was presented at the first public screening of the film ‘Docentka z lekárne’ (Assistant Professor from the Pharmacy), in which Emília Vášaryová lent her voice to Assistant Professor Jarmila Zemanová Šimaljaková.
The ENLIGHT Alliance evaluated the year 2024 and outlined future challenges
The annual meeting of CU representatives in the ENLIGHT alliance of universities took place in the Science Park of CU. They went over the successes and challenges of the previous year, emphasizing the importance of cooperation and innovation in higher education and the need for a greater mobility of academics.
The Taiwan Studies Centre opened at Comenius University
The Taiwan Studies Centre will serve as a platform for academic research and cultural exchange. Through initiatives like lecture series on Taiwan and film screenings it will offer students, researchers and the public the opportunity to explore Taiwan's rich history and culture, as well as its significant position on the global stage. By its establishment, CU emphasizes its commitment to the development of international cooperation and academic excellence.
